Houghton Bay Beach
A quiet south-facing beach with a calm, sheltered bay that is fully off-leash for dogs year-round. The entire beach is a designated dog exercise area, making it perfect for a relaxed swim or run. The water can have a strong undertow so supervise swimmers, but the beach itself is one of Wellington's most dog-friendly spots.
