Dunedin's most dog-adored café, perched atop the St Clair Hot Salt Water Pools with sweeping ocean views. Dogs are very welcome at the outdoor tables and the café sells pupcakes, with a percentage of proceeds donated to Dunedin Dog Rescue. A leash-tethering sculpture named Oliver keeps your pup socialised while you enjoy a coffee.

This is Dunedin dog heaven. The outdoor deck above the hot pools looks straight out to St Clair Beach and my dog was made completely at home. The pupcake was a massive hit — she demolished it in seconds.
One of the best café settings in New Zealand. The ocean views are incredible at sunrise and my dog sat happily tethered to Oliver (the concrete sculpture) while I had the best flat white. A Dunedin institution.
