Northern Walkway
A spectacular 15 km dog-friendly walking track traversing Wellington's outer Green Belt from Crofton Downs to Kelburn, passing Te Ahumairangi Hill and the slopes of Mt Kaukau. Dogs must be on lead throughout, but the views — from harbour to mountains — reward every step. Easily tackled in stages.

An epic Wellington walk with the dog! We did the Mt Kaukau section and the views were breathtaking. Dogs must be leashed throughout but it's absolutely worth it.
